Envera's students with disabilities complete their internships at the Housing Department of the Community of Madrid

The Community of Madrid and Envera collaborate in training for the job placement of people with intellectual disabilities by facilitating the incorporation of students over 18 years of age with intellectual disabilities to work practices in the Department of Housing and Local Administration and the Social Housing Agency. The training began in 2020 and, after an interruption due to the pandemic, have ended in 2021. The Minister of Housing and Local Government, David Perez, today presented a diploma and a certificate to the three students of Envera who have made their work experience for a period of three months, rotating monthly by different departments, with the aim of facilitating their access to the world of work and know the workings of the administration in order to prepare for competitive examinations.

The president of Iberia, Javier Sánchez-Prieto, and the president of Envera, José Antonio Quintero, inaugurated this Friday the Iberia Children's Garden, an accessible and innovative playground that is already being enjoyed by the nearly 200 children and their families who are cared for by the Early Care and Neurodevelopment Service that Envera offers at its Madrid headquarters. With this center of reference in the Community of Madrid, Envera begins its mission to accompany people with intellectual disabilities throughout their life cycle, from birth to their last days, offering them not only early care, but also training, occupational centers, employment, sports, residences and a Guardianship Foundation that becomes their family when they disappear.
Young women and women with disabilities break down prejudices through employment

Access to employment for women with disabilities is a priority for social organizations such as Envera, which through its Job Placement Service trains, prepares and guides future workers so that they can enter the labor market. A challenge that is often not easy due to the prejudices that still weigh on disability, especially intellectual disabilities. In fact, with this sheltered and supported employment, Envera's technicians point out that "not only is it possible to reduce inequality between men and women with and without disabilities, but also to break down stereotypes to promote equal opportunities for all people".
